I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
When it's cold outside, I got the month of May

I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?

My girl, my girl
Talking about my girl

I've got so much honey, the bees envy me
I've got a sweeter song, baby, than the birds in the trees

I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way?

My girl, my girl
Talking about my girl

Oooh

Ah hey, hey, hey

Ah hey, hey, hey

I don't need no money or count my pay
I've got all the riches, baby, one man can take

I guess you'll say
What can make me feel this way?

My girl, my girl
Talking about my girl

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
I've even got the month of May

My girl, my girl
I'm talking about my girl

TrackTalk

We did the Temptations' My Girl. I don't mind admitting that it took me a while to twig exactly what I was supposed to do. The notes and musical content were straightforward enough, but it was just the timing which had me foxed for a while. It seemed as if I was playing at the wrong speed and on the wrong beat. As it happened, I was doing the right thing all along, but I had to wait until the playback to hear how well it was fitting in.
