Making it
It doesn't matter how many
Taking it

Well I can't shake it off of my back, damn monkey
It's either too tight or it's too slack

Ninety nine
That's all it is
Ninety nine
How much

Ninety nine
Ninety nine
You better hack it baby

Yeah, my time exploded, space blew up
Need something in my dixie cup
Oh let me get it right
There's the best pair of lips I've kissed all night

How much - ninety nine
Well give it to me, I'll pay you later
Nine ninety nine
I got a pocket calculator

Yeah, it don't make sense
Nickles and dimes
Nine ninety nine

Yeah, the lion and the lamb are locked in an embrace
You won't get it till it's in your face
Oh, get me out of deeper red
Don't panic

It's where I want to be
Yeah, a useful member of society

I just need a little of that old money
Gimme ninety nine, yeah

Well, I can't shake it off of my back
Goddamn junkie
Yeah it's too tight or it's too slack

Well some things never change
Price of bullets remains the same
Here we go
Hand over fist, slap on the wrist
Nine

That's all I'm asking for
How much?
How much do you want to give?
Yeah, it's just a little bit
Nine

Yeah they operate
Look at the state of me, baby
Well, cost twenty grand, pitiful
Nine

Put your money where your mouth is
Cough it up
Nickels and dimes
Yeah

Nine ninety nine

TrackTalk

(The distortion's) bad, huh? Yeah... Believe it or not, that's through a Palmer simulator. A little box, no speakers. This is against all my principles, right? I plugged that mother in, and it's also through a Twin. But that sound basically comes out of the Palmer. Waddy and I are purists about amp sounds, but we couldn't deny that thing. At the right setting, it was, Whoa! Hey! We can get this now, but it's taken a long time to find it.

- Keith Richards, September 1992
